A common sandpiper crafted into a sculpture with memories of summer beaches, ocean waves receding and long stretches of beaches in the warm summer sun.  The sandpiper, starfish and shell are created from powdered glass enamels fused into copper in a red hot furnace.  The shape of the sculpture provides for mounting as an accent scukoture in any room of the home.  Easily cleaned with a damp cloth.  But truth be told, when passing by this sandpiper in the home, those summer days will be easily recalled!
